We will be meeting in Chamonix at the Aiguille du Midi cable-car so that we can use an early lift up to Aiguille du Midi at 3800m altitude. We will be descending the exposed arete all the way to the glacier below at around 3500m normally using a rope and having the skis on the backpack.

Once off the ridge we will put on the skis and choose one of the variants of Valee Blanche all the way down Mer de Glace from where we can either go to the Buvette des Mottes or catch the train from Montenvers back to Chamonix.
